The TRIO-Oklahoma Division of Student Assistance organization invites YOU!
Our annual conference provides an incredible space and experience for individuals, organizations, and businesses to meet, share and network with TRIO professionals from all across the State of Oklahoma.
Over 120 new and seasoned TRIO professionals consisting of directors, coordinators, advisors, counselors and more from non-profits, colleges, universities and other educational community agencies who serve first-generation, low-income individuals bridge the gap from junior high to post-graduate to complete a higher education degree. These TRIO professionals attend our annual conference eager to learn and develop themselves professionally along with acquiring best practices, products and/or services to improve their TRIO programs.

Presented by Dr. Cheryl Cummings
Dr. “C”, as she is affectionately known, is a mental health thought leader and change-agent within the CSRA. She is the owner of Stairway Counseling Services, LLC and Future Generation Consulting & Training, LLC with over 20 years of mental health experience. Currently, Dr. Cummings is the Employee Services Wellness Manager for SRNS as well as holding adjunct faculty positions at two universities. She earned her doctorate (with Honors & Distinction) in Human Services with a specialization in Counseling Studies at Capella University.
Dr. Cummings maintains several licenses and board certifications to include Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) for South Carolina and Georgia; Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC/S) for the state of South Carolina; National Certified Counselor (NCC), Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CCMHC), Board Certified-Telemental Health Counselor (BC-TMH), and Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS) through the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC). She also holds the credential of Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) through the International Association of Trauma Professionals. In addition, Dr. Cummings is a Mental Health First Aid USA certified instructor. In 2017, Dr. Cummings was recognized by the American Mental Health Counselors Association as a Diplomate of Mental Health Specialist and
Diplomate of Mental Health Specialist for Children & Adolescents.
Dr. C. has been appointed as a member of several community-based boards, is an officer in several state and national professional counseling associations, a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., a dedicated member and Elder at City of Life Ministries, Augusta, GA and is a tireless champion in seeking equity for those whose voice has been silenced. Dr. Cummings serves as the President of South Carolina Clinical Mental Health Counselors Association, and Southern Region Director for the American Mental Health Counselor Association. Above all of these things, Dr. C. is an honored mother of her three amazing children.
