TRIO Scholarships

Dr. Arnold Mitchem: Founder and President Emeritus, Council for Opportunity in Education
Oklahoma Division of Student Assistance Programs (ODSA)

Completion of this application qualifies the applicant for all scholarship awards listed above.

The amount of the scholarship award is based on enrollment status (i.e. full award for full-time enrollment). These awards may be used to help defray postsecondary educational costs.

Application Deadline:  July 14th, 2023 by 11:59 pm

Required Attachments are  your Resume, Essay, and completed Director Certification Form.

Essay Prompt: 

What educational challenges have you faced and how has TRIO helped you overcome them?

Maximum 1000 word count. Please make sure you have your Name, Current TRIO Program, Date, and Title included in your essay submission. The essay prompt is for both pre-collegiate and collegiate applicants, but they will be scored and awarded separately.


*Scholarship award will be pending until enrollment status and other criteria have been confirmed. If you are still having problems, please make sure you contact your scholarship chairperson.
